3 Romantic Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is a romantic holiday to begin with, but what you do with your loved one will determine just how special of a day it is. It used to be that you could just buy a dozen roses and a box of chocolates and call it a day, but where’s the fun in that? I’m not saying you shouldn’t get those things for your sweetheart still, but if you want Valentin’s Day to be really special then you have to up your game a bit. Here are 3 romantic ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day that will get you some major cool points and have your lady and her gal pals talking about what a stud you are.
Cook Her Dinner
One of the easiest and most rewarding gifts you can give on Valentine’s Day is to cook a delicious dinner and serve it with wine and candles. Women absolutely love a man that can cook, so if you want to see her with a massive smile on her face there’s no other way to go. You don’t have to be Wolfgang Puck to make a delicious dinner for your sweetheart; there are plenty of simple recipes that you can find online that will be easy enough for even a novice chef to follow. Just don’t go too low-brow and make macaroni and cheese out of a box because then you’re missing the point entirely.
There’s nothing more romantic than something unexpected, so if you’re lost for great ideas just think of something that she’d never expect. Perhaps if she leaves early in the morning for work, you could be outside holding a heart shaped sparkler to catch her off-guard. You can buy them from any store that sells sparklers for weddings, and usually they are only a few bucks for a box. Also, you could take the same approach except fill her car with rose petals and leave a sappy poem on her seat. Just be careful where you put all the rose petals because they can end up being a nightmare to clean out of vents and other nooks and crannies throughout the car.
Pop the Question
Lastly, if you want to be known as the most romantic man of all time within your circle of friends, you can use Valentine’s Day as the perfect time to pop the question. Some people think that getting engaged on Valentine’s Day sounds a bit cliché, but it’s that very fact that makes it such a surprising time to do it. She will never expect that you’re about to get down on bended knee and slip a ring on her finger; unless of course you have a terrible poker face and you’re way too excited about popping the question.
Valentine’s Day has become riddled with basic gifts and empty mementos of love in recent years, but you can easily break the mold and make it a special day once again. Just put your entire self into doing something nice for your loved on and the way you end up celebrating Valentine’s Day is sure to be memorable and romantic.
